Lidl GB has unveiled new plans to build a brand new foodstore at the Goldthorn Hotel site, off Penn Road in Wolverhampton.
This new Lidl store would increase local shopping choice, provide easy access to our high quality and affordable products, and create up to 40 new jobs. The new Lidl store would replace the existing hotel building which would be demolished following planning approval.
Residents may be aware that Lidl received planning permission in 2023 to redevelop the site. Since then, Lidl has worked hard to deliver the new store. As some time has passed since the previous approval, a new planning application is required. This new application will deliver the very latest and most sustainable store format.
A new planning application is being prepared and we want to hear views from the local community.
